Flight 0347 !

Our flight number 0347 from Montreal to Paris.
At Charles De Gaulle this is our AirbusA380-800. Céline was somewhat apprehensive, calling it the flying fortress. The Airbus A380 is a double deck, four-engine that carries 538 passengers in its smaller configuration (638 in sardine configuration). It is the largest passenger airliner in the world.

Baie des Ha! Ha!

Sunset over La Baie des Ha! Ha!  La Baie is a borough of the city of Saguenay, located where the Riviere a Mars flows into the Baie des Ha! Ha!
The Saguenay River is a major river of Quebec draining into the St Lawrence River at Tadoussac.
The river has a very high flow-rate and is bordered by steep cliffs associated with the Saguenay graben. Tide waters flow in its fjord upriver as far as Chicoutimi (about 100 kilometres). Many Beluga whales breed in the cold waters at its mouth. Greenland sharks also frequent the depths of the fjord, which is at some points 800 ft deep.

Double Pot O' Gold !!

A double rainbow !!
" In a double rainbow, the second arc is seen above and outside the primary arc, and has the colours reversed (red faces inward toward the other rainbow in both rainbows) This second rainbow is caused by light reflecting twice inside water droplets. ...Although legendary, triple rainbows are impossible. "

This image was captured near the junction of Hwy 417 and Hwy 44, near Carp, Ont.

No Thanks, Not For Me

Most dogs dislike grapes and it appears that Elsie is no exception. (Dogs prefer beer) And if she did like wine we definitely would not have allowed her to sample, even if it was Christmas. Originally thought to be an urban legend, it is now known that raisins and grapes are indeed toxic to dogs.
This image was captured with a Canon T1i at  f/4 with an exposure of 1/60.
